Latest Update Powers Microsoft Copilot with 150-plus New AI Features for PC Users

Millions of PC users can now experience the power of generative AI, thanks to the new Microsoft Copilot updates.

Microsoft has announced a series of new upgrades and features consisting of AI-powered copilots. The latest Microsoft Copilot would turn your PC, running on Windows 11, into a more sophisticated and unified computing environment for generative AI projects. According to an official blog, Microsoft confirmed that Copilot in Windows would be available for Paint, Photos, Clipchamp, Snipping Tool, and so on. The new AI-powered Microsoft Copilot would help users create compelling content and distribute it using a single app. All your accounts from Gmail, iCloud, Yahoo, and others would be unified in one app, helping users to access, import, and attach digital documents from OneDrive. From a modernized Outlook for Windows to Windows Backup, Windows Copilot will tap the power of generative AI and integrate these applications with Microsoft Edge, Bing, and Edge for PC.

Microsoft Copilot’s sibling Microsoft 365 Chat is also available now. it has transitioned from the older Business Chat version to a sleeker and smarter unified communications center for emails, meeting notes, chats, documents, and so much more. The Copilot feature provides users with a headstart in every conversation, giving answers to fairly complex questions that make everyday work so easy to deal with. Microsoft 365 Chat, as part of the Windows 11 updates, would introduce new capabilities for Copilot in Outlook, Word, Excel, Loop, OneNote, and OneDrive.

At the time of this announcement, Forrester Senior Analyst Rowan Curran shared his comments with us. Rowan said,“Microsoft’s announcement of the unified Copilot experience lays the groundwork for the cohesive, consistent experiences promised by generative AI. Generative AI is only as powerful as the data and systems it connects. By linking the Copilot experience across all its different products, Microsoft is beginning to enable this. Being able to plan and act across different domains of work and life is essential for genAI applications to drive deep and truly transformational capabilities. As this rolls out to customers later this year, the pervasive Copilot vision has the potential to help focus a key employee resource, attention, on the tasks that matter most.”

So, where is generative AI heading within the Microsoft family?

Rowan explained, “What do you think of this: What we’ve seen today is Microsoft’s vision of a future with generative AI which has been building over recent months — a future where generative AI is an intrinsic piece of nearly all apps, workstreams, and business processes. In order to make sure that this vision succeeds, Microsoft will need to help its customers and make the best and most responsible use of gen AI. People are incredibly enthusiastic about using generative AI, but most people need help understanding its limits, risks, guardrails, and customizations to help them leverage the technology’s maximum impact in their work and personal lives.

In addition to the latest Microsoft Copilot updates, the company also announced that Bing Chat Enterprise is now available in the Microsoft Edge mobile app. It also added Image Creator to Bing Chat Enterprise to boost creativity at the workplace.
